Uncommon Favor for an Uncommon Team

That thing was the speech given by Coach Staley and her words remembering that all things are possible with God and that we are truly blessed by “uncommon favor” for those who believe. It is certainly not the first time a famous coach or athlete attributed their victory or overcoming impossible odds to our Lord, but it was a wonderful reminder and testament to the power of belief.

There are many things in life that seem impossible or out of reach, but when we ask for blessings and the strength to overcome them from our Lord, he is always listening. For those who have lived long and fruitful lives such as the many folks served by Lutheran Homes each day, they truly have been blessed with “uncommon favor” as growing old is not a given in life and should never be taken for granted.

So let’s take a moment to celebrate not only a national championship for South Carolina, but for those who remember that with God all things are possible.  May God keep you and bless you with “uncommon favor!”
